Before mounting a TV you should take notice of the most important factors influencing it. There are a many choices depending on your TV type, TV size and room size in general. Before mounting the TV you should sit in front of it and notice it carefully. Then fix up the gaze to a certain position on the wall in a manner that your head does not tilt back. Also sit at a certain distance for happy viewing.
There are various brackets available for mounting your TV. Choose the one specially fitting your television. Also make sure that the room and the lighting, fits the choice of your TV. If it is an LCD television then it will work better in a room full of sunlight or proper lighting. On the other hand, plasma televisions require a darker setting for its projection. The picture comes awesome if the setting is dark.
